It's the actual inspiration behind John Lennon's song, so if you're expecting a museum or visitor centre, you'll be disappointed - it's just the fields themselves, open land where you can walk and think about what drew Lennon here as a kid.

What you get is straightforward: access to the grounds where you can pick strawberries when they're in season (usually June through July, depending on weather), or simply wander the paths. It's quiet, genuinely atmospheric on a decent day, and works well if you want something low-key between Lincoln's cathedral and castle visits.
