Allow a couple of hours to properly nose around without rushing. Opening times vary by individual business, so check ahead if you're planning to visit a specific studio. Most places are free to browse, though you'll want cash or card for anything you fancy buying.

It works well as a mid-morning diversion before heading to nearby attractions, or as a proper afternoon outing if you're into design and textiles. Not a patch on London's fashion quarter, but that's rather the point - it feels like somewhere real people actually work.
