Town Hall Clock

Standing proud above Pershore's market square, this elegant 18th-century timepiece has been keeping the Worcestershire town running to schedule for centuries. The clock tower rises from the town hall's Georgian facade in honey-coloured limestone, its four faces clearly visible from most approaches into the centre.

History buffs will appreciate the craftsmanship - the mechanism still ticks away reliably after all these years, chiming the hours across the abbey town. It's not a destination in itself, mind you, but rather a lovely focal point when you're exploring Pershore's historic streets. The surrounding square hosts regular markets, and the whole area feels properly lived-in rather than preserved in aspic.

Families staying at nearby parks like The Springs Holiday Park or Bowbrook Lodges will find it makes a decent stopping point during a town wander.
