Train Display

Rows of lovingly restored model trains fill the display cases, from steam engines to modern electrics. The collection spans decades of railway history, though the cramped space means you'll be peering through glass rather than getting hands-on with anything. Railway enthusiasts will appreciate the detail - every carriage meticulously painted, signals working, miniature stations complete with tiny passengers waiting on platforms. Kids might enjoy it for twenty minutes before getting restless, unless they're already train-mad. The lighting could be better in places, making some of the darker locomotives hard to see properly. Still, it's a decent rainy-day option if you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks like Haven Blue Dolphin or Primrose Valley. The volunteer staff clearly know their stuff and are happy to chat about the exhibits. Allow about an hour unless you're a proper train spotter, in which case you could easily spend an afternoon here. Worth combining with a trip to the coast - you're only a short drive from the seafront at Filey. Not spectacular, but solid enough for what it is.
