Trinity Church Stafford

Trinity Church sits right in the heart of Stafford, a Victorian-era church that's worth ducking into if you're already town centre-bound. Built in the 19th century, it's a solid example of the period's ecclesiastical architecture - all red brick and proper Gothic Revival detailing. The interior's pleasant enough: decent stained glass, decent proportions, the usual hymn boards and memorial plaques that tell you something about who mattered in Victorian Stafford.

It's really a church for architecture enthusiasts and local history types rather than something you'd plan an afternoon around. Twenty minutes maximum if you're thorough. Free to enter as far as I'm aware, though it's worth checking opening hours before you drag yourself down there - parish churches keep odd schedules.

For a caravan holiday in the area, it's a convenient spot if you're based at Stable Park or Ladybirch Motorhome Park just outside town. Stafford itself rewards a couple of hours wandering the Georgian bits, and Trinity fits neatly into that. If you're staying further afield at Canalside Camping or Poppy Fields Glamping, it's hardly worth the drive for this alone, but combine it with Stafford Castle or a nose around the town's other museums and it makes sense. Not essential, but solid if you're a church spotter.
