Trwyn Cam

The walk up to Trwyn Cam takes you past gorse and rough grass, with the Irish Sea gradually coming into view as you climb. It's not a long push - maybe twenty minutes from the car park near Pwllheli - but the effort feels worthwhile once you reach the headland and see what's actually in front of you. The view stretches across Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day you can make out the Llŷn Peninsula curving away to the south. It's a proper working coastline, not some postcard cliché. Walkers will find it a decent leg-stretcher without the slog of the bigger peaks inland. Families with kids who can manage a modest climb will get something out of it, though there's nothing to do once you're up there except stand and look - so don't expect them to linger long. The headland itself is windier than you'd think, even on what feels like a calm day down below. Worth timing for late afternoon light if you're going to make the trip, as the sun hits the water properly then. If you're camping at one of the nearby parks - Glampio Coed is only a few miles away - this works as a half-hour detour rather than a full-day outing. Free to visit, obviously. Don't expect crowds, which is rather the point.
