Watertop Farm

The farm sits right on the edge of Ballycastle, a working spot that's been there for generations. What you're really after is the views - that sweeping stretch of coast towards the Mull of Kintyre, with Scotland proper visible on clear days. It's more about the location than any formal attraction, to be honest. Folk tend to stop here while driving along the coastal road, pull over, take a photo, and move on. The farmland itself isn't set up as a visitor destination, but that's partly what makes it worth knowing about.

Walkers and photographers get the most from this place. The light at golden hour is genuinely good, and if you're tackling the Causeway Coast way, this makes a solid waypoint. You won't need more than twenty minutes unless you're the type to linger with a coffee and binoculars. It's free, obviously - you're standing on a roadside essentially, though you should ask at the farm itself before wandering about.

If you're based at Watertop Farm Holiday Park just down the road, you've basically got this on your doorstep. Makes sense to combine it with a proper walk to Torr Head or a drive through to Carrick-a-Rede. The Causeway Coast packs a lot in - this is just a useful pause rather than an all-day thing. Worth the stop if you're in the area, but don't make a special trip just for this one.
