I love the location because it is near the river and The Warren. The lodges are extremely comfortable with nice views from the balcony over Hay. The cafe has delicious drinks and tasty food. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. The walk down by the Wye is always relaxing and there is always something to see. Look out for the fairy houses in the trees. By Laurie, aged 10.

Best family fishing break we have ever had! It’s hard to put into words what made it so special as it was everything from the warm welcome by the owners the minute we arrived, the idyllic setting in stunning woodland overlooking the Wye, the book town of Hay on Wye just a 2 minute walk away, and all the onsite activities for all the family including, of course, the exclusive on site fishing. We stayed for a long weekend as a treat to mark the end of the school holidays. What a fabulous experience. All the creature comforts of the Safari tent, on the river for some stone skimming and contemplation. Short walk to the lovely town, and some great runs along the river to the Warren. Hosts were super helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. couldn't recommend more highly.
