Loch Awe Camping Pods

Beware of your booking. Booked to come as there was availability showing. Drove nearly 3 hours to the site and on arrival had a text message to say site would not accept my booking. Text messages are no good when driving. This should have been a phone call. Wasted day.

Wonderfully quiet place, in front of the loch with everything you need for cooking outside. The nice surprise for us was the communal hall with his bar and food that you can order. Will come back

Midges are a nuisance but the pods are great, a little cramped for 4 but we dont mind. Great scenery and the loch side just a few footsteps away. Community ran bar on site if you fancy a night of pool etc Very isolated little town but theres a great little shop a shirt walk from the campsite that stocks most things.

Stayed early October. The site was quiet and relaxing. The site, located in Dalavich, is in a remote location, accessed for the last 10 miles on a single track road. It is situated on a hillside offering unobstructed views over the loch with plenty of areas to exercise (and lots of new smells and wildlife) for an energetic Husky. We spent the last week in Pod 6 and had a great time. The weather was not on our side but we still managed to make the most of it. The pod was exactly as described, clean and comfortable and perfectly located. The facilities are well maintained, the cost for the shower is reasonable too.
