Shire Camping

Just had a cracking 3 night stay, so peaceful. Not my first time here & as usual Harry makes you feel very welcome & is happy to drop off bags of firewood when required. Site & facilities all well maintained, spacious marked out & neatly mown pitches with cuttings removed so no annoying grass being trodden in. Lovely local walks to two nearby villages both with pubs & one with a well stocked shop...

We had the best time at Shire Camping. Percy was so welcoming and showed us to our pitches. We were given two pitches, one for our vehicles and one for our tent. The location is stunning and we spent two days under the stars. Showers and toilets were extremely clean. Camp fires are allowed which is a really nice touch, exactly what you want when you go camping! We can’t wait to go back.

I have just spent a few days at Shire camping & had a lovely, relaxing time. Although a little remote on foot it is only a 20 minute walk to the nearest pub; we managed a pleasant walk & cycle there. There was plenty of room on our pitch and the toilet, shower & washing up facilities were excellent. A really amazing off grid campsite in a stunning location. Harry is really friendly and was on hand to help us select a pitch upon arrival. A pizza van was there on the Friday evening serving up some very tasty pizzas. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities were really clean and well maintained. Fantastic campsite! The pitches are a really good size, and the loos and showers are spotless and well looked after. They even sell logs on site which makes it really easy to enjoy a proper campfire in the evenings. A lovely place to stay and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping spot.
