Had a great stay at The Cross Country Park, nice modern new site. We stayed in a new holiday home which had everything we needed. There were lovely views of the countryside, close to Alton Towers and we will be back. Looking forward to the on site shop and micro pub opening.

Dropped in for food while camping nearby. Menu was basic but food arrived quickly and in vast amounts. It all appeared to be home poked and was tasty and reasonably priced. A couple of ales on tap also reasonably priced. A lively place with friendly, helpful staff, good value and didn't insult us by refusing Scottish banknotes, well done!

Fab as a base. Small but welcoming and fab food. Friendly locals. The bar is lively in the evenings with card games and banter with the team. I missed the food cut off time but owner offered to do a pizza for me. Fab!! Nice area. Tent field is a bit small and bumpy but had a great night sleep. Wash rooms are fine. Small charge due to it being abused by non residents. Only negatives: Not the pubs ...

Visited for a single night after a day at Alton Towers. Quite close to the park (when driving) so very useful. We stayed in a double room which was pretty small and basic but met our needs. The bed was comfy enough and we had a shower, tea making facilities. The best element of the hotel is the bar/restaurant. Really nice place, friendly staff and excellent food.
