Thurlmoor Farm - Campsite

Excellent location for cycling the Trans Pennine trail or local walks. Good cafe and pub nearby. Friendly owner with good local knowledge and advice. Excellent views over the valley. Slight noise from wind turbine but not disruptive. Good value for money as no loos or showers.

We love it here. We are fairly frequent visitors to the site. The views are amazing, and it is so peaceful and quiet, apart from the occasional bleat of a sheep or crow of a cockerel. And this evening we have seen a barn owl 🦉 The site is always well maintained. As long as Gary will have us, we'll keep on coming!

What a lovely campsite. Just spent 3 nights here.The views are out of this world.We only live about 25 mins away from here.But It felt like we were a million miles away from home.So peaceful and relaxing.Gary is very friendly and makes time to chat to the campers..As advertised, it does NOT have shower/toilet block.Which, with being in a caravan it wasn't a necessity. I am writing this review on behalf of my partner. I also visited the place but she was the one that was staying overnight in her rooftop tent. What an amazing site with a fabulous view to wake up to each morning. Electric hook up and waste disposal (spotless). No toilet or shower facilities but the website makes it very clear. Amazingly beautiful walks from the site. I think we have been spoilt.. ...

What a beautifully peaceful site with amazing views. Absolutely loved it here and we will definitely be back. Good clear communication from the owner to book, met on arrival and shown where to pitch and given lots of info about the area.
