Waterclose Meadows Campsite

We love this campsite. Such a lovely location and great facilities. Sadly we only stayed 2 nights out of 8 as the site had to close for two days due to the high winds forecast and it was too far for us to go home and come back. Refund was prompt.

Camping here for two nights with my husband and small dog. Beautiful, small site, with clean facilities right on the river. Perfect for us as we’ve just taken up paddle boarding. Set in a picturesque village and not far from the market towns of Huntingdon and St Ives. A nice quiet spot with enough facilities/attractions for a two night stay. Perfect.also polite and friendly staff.

Had Easter on the campsite, the staff were so helpful and dedicated to making the site clean and tidy all the time. There's a lovely coffee shop , a five minute walk into the village is a lovely pub,children and dogs are allowed in. You can walk or cycle or go on the river. Well the weather forecast was going to be dry and warm, so we looked for somewhere near to stay, and this sleeps 4 pod came up, at £155 for two nights. It was great very clean and the toilet and shower block was spotless and the shower was very good. A great base for cycling or walking to St Ives along the river in a tree lined tunnel. How do you give somewhere a score of 6 out of 5? Brilliant campsite all round. It's well maintained with excellent facilities, lovely and quiet at night and friendly, helpful staff. The campsite is attached to the tea rooms (open) and working water mill (sadly still closed) and you can access the mill pond and river from it. Great fun if you have a boat or inflatable.
