Wells Touring Park

We had a lovely warm welcome from the lady in reception, sorry we didn't get her name. Gave us lots of information on places to see and do in the lovely City of Wells. Excellent campsite about a 30 min walk into Wells. Bus stops are located outside if you don't fancy walking. Fantastic shower facilities, modern and extremely clean. Our 3rd time of visiting in our moho will almost certainly come again. Had 3 different pitches and never needed to use ramps! One down side this visit the pizza oven was operating due to site being very quiet.

Overall not bad but for the fees not great, very few pitches are level, we booked a fully serviced pitch and even with 100Mm ramps we couldn't get level. The showers whilst clean are tired and in need of a update. There is no shop on site. Not even bread or milk, nearest shop is .6 mile. We were charged £2.00 per night for a dog, not sure why because there is no dog walk on site. So to sum it up, ...

Have just come back from Wells Touring Park having had 4 nights on a hardstanding pitch with my campervan and dog. I cannot recommend this site highly enough! Staff are amazing, location is perfect, there's a nature reserve opposite to walk the dogs and a cafe/bar on site. They also do pizzas on a Friday and hot dogs on a Saturday. Excellent site 30 minutes walk from the cathedral and lovely town centre. Pitches were small but ample space for awnings etc. Local bus is about every 1.5 hours to Wells if you don’t fancy the walk. Site has Pizzas and hot dogs and bar which also serves lovely coffee. Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly with a great knowledge of the local area and places to visit.
