Great Malvern itself has kept its Victorian elegance without becoming stuffy. The high street's lined with proper independent shops, and the priory church of Saint James anchors the town centre with genuine gravitas. British Camp Reservoir provides a focal point for circular walks, while the more adventurous can explore Clutter's Cave on the hillside.

Worcester lies fifteen miles northeast if you need proper shopping or rail connections. But honestly, once you're here among the hills, the outside world feels rather beside the point. A holiday park nearby puts you right at the foot of the Malverns, perfect for early morning hikes before the day-trippers arrive.
