The museum covers the decades when the base hummed with activity - from the Cuban Missile Crisis through to the end of the Cold War. You'll see control rooms, read accounts from the people who worked here, and understand how nerve-wracking it all was. It's not flashy or overdone. Instead, there's something quite moving about standing in these spaces and realising how close the world came to catastrophe more than once.
