Bromyard Dog Field

Right in the heart of Bromyard, this modest open space is exactly what it says on the tin - a field where locals let their dogs run free. It's not going to blow your mind with facilities or scenery, but if you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks like The Rock or Rookley Woods and you've got a pooch in tow, it's genuinely useful.

The field itself is straightforward: decent-sized plot, usually reasonably well-maintained, and gives your dog proper space to burn off energy without being on lead. On a decent day you'll find the usual mix of terriers, spaniels, and the occasional golden retriever having a proper play. The locals are chatty enough, and there's something quite nice about that low-key community feel you get in market towns like Bromyard.

It's free, obviously, and there's no time limit - pop in for twenty minutes if the weather's decent or let them loose for an hour. Best visited early morning or late afternoon when it's quieter and less chaotic. Worth knowing if you're doing a caravan holiday in this part of Herefordshire and need somewhere to give your dog a decent run, but don't expect anything beyond that. It won't be the highlight of your trip, but it solves a real problem if you've got a four-legged friend along. Perfectly functional, nothing more.
