Chilean Border & 'Lookout'

Walkers will find this works well as part of a longer ramble across the downs near Dorchester. It's not a major climb, and the terrain is manageable. You're looking at 30 minutes if you're making it a dedicated trip, longer if you're incorporating it into a broader route. There's no admission charge - it's just there on the landscape.

If you're camping at one of the nearby parks like Litton Lakes or Bagwell Farm, it makes a decent morning outing, though don't expect to spend hours here. It's more of a curiosity than a proper attraction - the kind of spot you visit, have a laugh at the sign, take the obligatory photo, then head off elsewhere. For what it is, it's fine. Don't detour specifically for it, but if you're walking the area anyway, it's worth the minor diversion.
