Kids absolutely love it, though purists might find the medieval theme a bit much when you're standing in front of ancient limestone. It's clever marketing, really - same caves, different spin.

Families get the best value here since you can do both experiences in one visit. The caves stay at a constant cool temperature year-round, making this a cracking rainy day option when you're staying at nearby Cheddar Woods Resort or one of the other holiday parks dotted around the village. Allow at least two hours if you're doing the full tour.

Walking back up into daylight after an hour underground always feels oddly disorienting. The whole experience works well as part of a Cheddar day out, especially if you're already planning to tackle the gorge or visit the other show caves nearby.
