Cronkston Low

The climb itself won't trouble anyone with reasonable fitness - it's more of a steady plod than a proper scramble. What makes it worthwhile is the 360-degree panorama from the top, taking in the White Peak's characteristic drystone wall patterns and the darker gritstone edges in the distance. On clear days, you can spot Kinder Scout lurking on the northern horizon.

Families with older children will manage this easily enough, though toddlers might struggle with the uneven limestone terrain. Walkers looking for a quick morning stretch before heading back to camp will find it spot on - allow about two hours round trip from the nearest parking.
