On a clear day you can pick out the escarpment rolling away, fields changing colour with the seasons, the odd church spire catching the light. Walkers will get the most from this one. It's the sort of walk you do on a morning before heading into Broadway for lunch, or as a warm-up if you're tackling the longer Cotswold Way trails nearby. Kids might find it a bit of a slog depending on their age - it's exposure on the climb and there's nothing at the top to hold their attention for long. The ground can be muddy after rain, which is worth knowing. Free to access, obviously. If you're staying at one of the caravan parks around Broadway or heading to Bourton-on-the-Water, Cutsdean Hill makes a natural addition to your day without any faffing about with car parks or opening hours. Worth the detour if you're in the area and the weather's decent. On a foggy day, you'll get nothing for your effort.
