East Crinnis Holiday Park

East Crinnis Holiday Park sits just outside Par, a working harbour town that most visitors only pass through on their way to somewhere else. That's a mistake. The park itself is a straightforward seaside base - static caravans and touring pitches spread across fairly flat ground with easy access to the beach and the coastal path. Nothing fancy, but that's rather the point. You're here for the location, not the facilities.

The real appeal is the proximity to some genuinely good walking. The South West Coast Path runs right past, and from here you can head west toward Polperro or east toward Mevagissey without fighting through crowds. Families with young children will appreciate the gentler terrain around Par Sands just down the road, while serious walkers treating this as a base camp can tackle longer stretches. The beach itself is functional rather than spectacular - backed by a working port, which gives it character if not postcard looks.

Par itself warrants an afternoon. The harbour still lands fish, there are decent pasties at the baker, and the old mining heritage is woven into everything. If you're basing yourself at East Crinnis rather than moving around, you've got Eden Valley Holiday Park just a few miles inland if you fancy something quieter, or Pentewan Sands if you want a busier, family-focused setup.

Come here if you want a proper working seaside town rather than a resort, and don't mind a caravan holiday that's about location over luxury. It punches above its weight.
