Ewell Court House

It's not a massive operation. You're looking at a local library with a decent local history collection, rather than some sprawling research centre. The Georgian rooms give it character that chain libraries simply don't have.

Histoy buffs will appreciate the local heritage material tucked away here. Families with younger kids? It's functional but won't keep them entertained for hours. Walkers passing through Ewell might pop in out of curiosity for twenty minutes or so.

What works is treating it as part of a bigger afternoon in the area. You're not far from Chessington World of Adventures Resort if you're after a full day out, or the Walton on Thames Camping and Caravanning Club Site if you're camping nearby. The building itself deserves a look even if you're not planning to browse the shelves. It's the sort of place that rewards a quiet hour with a cup of tea and a bit of local reading rather than big dramatic visit. Worth a detour if you're already in Ewell, but don't rearrange your whole day around it.
