The paths wind through, so it's more exploration than a set route - that appeals to walkers who like to make their own way rather than follow marked trails the whole time. If you're staying at Englethwaite Hall or Eden Valley Glamping nearby, this is an excellent half-morning activity before lunch, or a late-afternoon wander when the light gets interesting.

Kids who are into nature and climbing on fallen logs will get genuinely absorbed here - the sort of place where they'll actually notice things rather than just complain about how far they've walked. Teenagers might find it a bit samey after forty minutes. There's nothing fancy about it, no café or facilities that I'm aware of, so go prepared with a drink at least.
