Go Ape Delamere Forest

Thirty feet above the forest floor, clinging to a rope bridge while squirrels scamper below, you'll either discover your inner Tarzan or have a proper meltdown. Go Ape's Delamere course weaves through some of Cheshire's finest woodland, offering tree-top adventures that'll test your nerve and leave your arms aching.

The high ropes course here is brilliant for anyone aged 10 and up who fancies a challenge. Expect zip lines, wobbly crossings, and enough heart-stopping moments to justify the admission fee. Takes about two to three hours if you're not queuing behind a group of teenagers having existential crises halfway across.

Families staying at nearby spots like Blakemere Holiday Park or Wild Shore Delamere will find this makes a cracking day out, though younger kids might feel left out - there's a junior course for the little ones, but it's the main circuit that delivers the thrills. The forest setting near Northwich is lovely, and you'll work up a proper appetite swinging through the trees.
