Heavenly Views Dog Park lives up to its billing - a proper spot for letting your four-legged friend run about while you take in the Somerset Levels sprawling out below. The views across the flatlands are genuinely lovely, especially on a clear day when you can see right across the countryside. It's free to visit, which is always a bonus, and there's plenty of space for dogs to burn off energy without feeling cramped. Allow an hour or so to let your dog properly explore and settle in - rushing it defeats the purpose entirely. If you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Dimpsey Shepherd's Hut Glamping is closest at just two miles away, or Holly Bush Caravan Park a bit further out - this makes an ideal morning or late afternoon break. Families with dogs will absolutely get the most from a visit, though the hill up to the viewing point can be a bit steep for very young children or elderly relatives. The park itself is straightforward: space, views, and room for dogs to be dogs. No facilities that I could find, so bring water for the dog and maybe a snack for yourself. Best visited outside school holidays when it's less crowded. Given its proximity to the caravan parks dotted around the area, it's a handy addition to a week exploring Somerset's countryside.
