The walk up Islandcorr is short but steep, and on a clear day you'll understand why people make the effort. It's a proper little peak just outside Bushmills, commanding views across the Causeway Coast that genuinely take your breath away - and not just from the climbing.

Once you're up there, you can see for miles. The North Antrim coastline spreads out below you, and on a decent day you'll spot the Mull of Kintyre across the water. The whole thing takes about an hour round trip from the car park, which makes it ideal for families who want a genuine walk without committing to a full day's hiking. Kids will feel they've properly achieved something.

Historically types might find it less gripping than somewhere like the nearby Giant's Causeway, but walkers and landscape photographers absolutely rate it. The paths can get boggy after rain, so proper footwear matters. There's free access and no facilities up top, so bring water.

If you're staying at Causeway Country Pods or Thornfield Farm's glamping setup nearby, Islandcorr makes a cracking half-morning detour before heading to larger attractions. It's the sort of place locals know rather than tourists clogging up, which is refreshing. Worth the walk, genuinely.
