That's a seriously well-rated spot, and from there you've got the West Stow archaeology site nearby - proper Anglo-Saxon territory - which puts the village sign into a larger historical frame. The sign itself gives you a flavour of local identity, the sort of thing communities have maintained for generations.

It's free, naturally. You'll spend five minutes here maximum, which is fine - it's not a destination unto itself. Better to treat it as a punctuation mark in a day's exploration of the Breckland area. Walkers will appreciate it as a wayfinding point; families with young kids won't find much to detain them.
