Walking into Landymoor Coppice feels like stepping back into proper woodland management from centuries past. This isn't a manicured country estate - it's a working coppice woodland near Worcester where the trees have been cut and regrown in cycles for generations, creating that distinctive patchwork of different-aged growth you rarely see anymore.

The woodland itself is manageable for families with decent legs. There's a decent mix of open glades and denser sections where the light filters through in that particular way coppice woods do. You'll spot bluebells in spring if the timing's right, and the whole thing feels genuinely quiet even when it shouldn't be. Walkers will appreciate it more than casual strollers - there's no visitor centre or obvious infrastructure, which keeps the crowds down but also means you need to know what you're looking for.
