Lankham Brake

Ancient woodland sprawls across this quiet corner of north Devon, just inland from the coast near Croyde. Lankham Brake feels properly wild - the sort of place where moss-covered oak branches create cathedral-like spaces and fallen logs provide natural seating for a proper woodland ramble.

Families will find plenty to explore here, though it's not manicured parkland by any stretch. The paths can be muddy after rain, so decent walking boots are essential.
