Loch Carron View Point

The view from Loch Carron pulls you up short. Walkers use it as a vantage point or starting point for longer hikes into the surrounding hills. On a grey afternoon when the weather's closing in, it's moody and atmospheric in a way that feels properly Highland.

You'll spend fifteen minutes here easily, half an hour if you're the sort who sits and drinks coffee while staring at water. It works particularly well as a stop-off if you're based at Reraig Caravan & Camping Skye, just 5 miles away - breaks up a morning's drive nicely, and gives you a taste of the landscape you're camping in without needing to commit to a full walk. Winter's dramatic when the light's low. Summer's when the midges decide to make an appearance, so time your visit accordingly.
