Perthiduon Burial Chamber

Stone slabs arranged in a rough rectangle mark where Neolithic people buried their dead some 5,000 years ago. The burial chamber sits quietly in farmland near Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, its capstone long gone but the supporting stones still standing after all these millennia. It's not much to look at, frankly - just weathered rocks in a field - but there's something rather moving about standing where ancient communities performed their final rituals.

The stones themselves tell little of their story without imagination to fill the gaps.
