Pettistree Village Sign

A hand-painted wooden sign in a quiet Suffolk village might not sound like reason enough to stop the car, but Pettistree's is genuinely worth a look. The work is intricate - proper traditional stuff, the kind of village signage that's become rarer as councils opt for standardised metal replacements. It sits at the heart of the village, just east of Wickham Market, and tells you something about the place that a GPS coordinate never could.

This is essentially a standalone piece of folk art rather than a formal gallery space. You pull up, have a look, take a photo, maybe chat with a local if you're lucky.
