This open meadow near Warwick is genuinely one of the best spots in the area to let dogs burn off energy without worrying about traffic or livestock. There's proper space to run, long grass in summer, and enough room that even on weekends you won't feel squeezed in with other dog owners.

It's free, naturally, and you can spend as little as twenty minutes or half an hour here if you're passing through Warwick, or make it a proper outing on a lazy afternoon. No facilities to speak of - bring water if it's warm - but that's part of the appeal. No complicated entrance gates or paid parking nonsense.

Walkers without dogs can enjoy the meadow too, though it does feel primarily designed for canine chaos. Kids find it decent enough for mucking about in, though there's no play equipment; they'll mainly be watching the dogs tear around.
