The walk down to it from the main road takes about fifteen minutes and feels genuinely removed from the island's busier routes.

You'll want to allow an hour here, longer if you're the type to sit and sketch or photograph the rocks and water reflections. It's ideal for families with older kids who can manage a gentle walk, or for anyone keen on quiet natural spaces without the crowds you'd find at Mull's more famous spots. The water's cold enough to deter most swimmers, though it's lovely to paddle in on a warm day.

There's nothing to pay, no facilities, and no set hours - just turn up when you fancy it. The nearest proper settlement is Bunessan, a few miles north. If you're staying at Island Pods nearby, this is genuinely worth the short drive as a morning or late-afternoon detour.
