RSPB Scotland Loch of Kinnordy

It works well alongside a holiday at Nethercraig Holiday Park just down the road, particularly if you're the type who wakes up early to catch the dawn chorus rather than sleep in. Blairgowrie itself is a solid base for Perthshire exploring. The loch doesn't require a full day's commitment, so you can fit it around other plans without faffing about.

Realistic assessment: if you're into birds, this is genuinely worthwhile. If you're just hoping to tick off a nature spot without binoculars, you might find it a bit slow-paced. But that's rather the point.
