Rylstone Cross

Standing alone on the moors above Rylstone village, this weathered stone cross marks one of those spots that makes you pause and wonder about the centuries of footsteps that have passed here before yours. The medieval monument, likely dating from the 14th or 15th century, sits on what was once an important packhorse route through the Yorkshire Dales.
