Seaview

The cliffs around Poole offer some proper coastal drama, and Seaview is one of those spots where you actually stop the car and get out because the vista demands it. You're looking across Poole Bay with the kind of sweep that makes you understand why people bother with the British seaside in the first place. The water stretches out flat and grey or glittering depending on the light, and on a clear day you can pick out the Isle of Wight in the distance.

It's genuinely a five-minute stop rather than a destination in itself - pull in, stretch your legs, snap a photo, move on. But that's precisely why it works during a park holiday. Haven Rockley Park and South Lytchett Manor are both within spitting distance, and if you're camping in the area, this beats driving 20 minutes to find a viewpoint. The walk down to the actual cliff edge is minimal, which matters if you've got restless kids or elderly relatives in tow. They won't get bored because there's nothing to get bored of - it's just a view, done well.

Wind can be ferocious up here, even on days when it's calm inland. Bring a jumper. There's limited parking, so aim for early morning or late afternoon to avoid the school-run crowds. Free to visit, obviously. Worth the detour if you're within five miles; not worth planning your whole trip around.
