About Sgwd Clun-Gwyn Waterfall
What makes it special is actually being able to walk behind the waterfall - you can squeeze through and stand in the spray, which sounds gimmicky until you're actually doing it and realizing you're on the other side of a cascade. Kids absolutely love this bit, though fair warning: you will get soaked. Wear proper shoes, not trainers that'll slip on wet rocks.
The pool itself is deep enough for a dip in summer, though the water's properly cold even in July. Dog walkers find it excellent - plenty of shade, water access, and it's busy enough to feel safe but not rammed with tourists. Go early morning for fewer people and better light if you're taking photos.
If you're staying at Four Falls Glamping just down the road, this makes an easy morning outing before breakfast. Brecon Beacons is a bit further out but still within striking distance if you're based there. Free to visit, no facilities on-site, so pack water and a snack. Allow two hours minimum including time to mess about by the pool.
