Skegness Library sits right in the town centre, a proper refuge when the seaside weather turns grey or the kids need a break from the beach. It's a functional, modern space - nothing fancy, but genuinely useful if you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks and need somewhere warm and dry for an hour or two.

Free admission, naturally. Realistically, you're looking at forty minutes to an hour here unless you're a serious reader or need to use the computers. History buffs won't find much beyond local archives, and unless your lot are genuinely keen on books, don't expect miracles keeping teenagers entertained.

If you're planning a proper rainy day activity in Skegness, couple it with the nearby amusement centres or the Natureland zoo rather than relying on the library alone to fill your time.
