St Laurence's isn't one of those grand cathedrals that dominates the skyline - it's properly intimate, which makes the details hit harder. The roof timbers alone are worth the visit if you're into that sort of thing, and the stained glass is genuinely affecting rather than showy.

You'll get the most from this if you're already exploring Ludlow itself, which is only a short walk away and frankly one of the better market towns in Herefordshire. History types will spend a solid hour here picking apart the different periods of construction, while families with younger kids might find twenty minutes enough unless there's a specific service on. The church is free to enter, though it's worth checking opening hours in advance as these things can be variable.

It works well as part of a broader wandering around Ludlow if you're based at one of the nearby parks - Ludlow Touring & Holiday Home Park is barely a mile away, or Monstay Farm Glamping if you want something a touch more relaxed.
