About The Craggan View Point
This is walkers' territory mainly. If you're the sort who wants to bag a viewpoint without technical kit or spending six hours on the hill, this works well. Fair warning though - there's not much else to do once you're up there except look and take photos. Kids might get restless if you linger more than half an hour. The moorland can be boggy underfoot after rain, so decent boots matter.
Newtonmore is close enough that you could pair this with a wander round the village itself, or push on to explore more of the Highland trail network in the area. If you're staying at Invernahavon Caravan Park - which is less than four miles away - you've got a decent little adventure on the doorstep. Laggan Glamping is another option slightly further out, though Craggan View Point is still a quick drive from there.
Timing-wise, allow 45 minutes to an hour including the walk itself. Go early on a weekend if you want it quieter, or frankly any weekday afternoon. There's no entrance fee that I'm aware of, and no facilities up there, so bring water.
