The Hawthorne Trench Experience

The Hawthorne Trench Experience is a museum dedicated to the First World War, centred on the actual trench system that ran through this stretch of Kent. Black Horse Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is under three miles away if you prefer that setup, and both give you a sensible spot to base yourself while exploring the area. The experience isn't flashy or commercial, which is honestly its strength. It feels like a place that cares more about authenticity than footfall.
