Waterfall view point

The walk to this waterfall viewpoint on Mull is short but properly rewarding. You're standing on exposed moorland with water thundering down a rocky face - the kind of spot where you understand why people move to the Highlands. The spray catches you if the wind's from the wrong direction, and in summer the midges are relentless, but on a clear day it's the sort of view that justifies the drive out here. Allow twenty minutes from the car park, less if you're fit. The terrain's boggy in places, especially after rain, so decent boots matter. Families with younger kids might find the fifteen-minute window of actual awe-struck staring before boredom sets in a bit limiting - but teenagers and proper walkers will slot this easily into a longer loop around the island. There's no visitor facility here, no café, no interpretation board. It's just you and the water. That's rather the point. The nearest settlement is Isle of Mull town itself, which has basic supplies and somewhere to grab a coffee after. If you're staying at Island Pods nearby, this works as a half-morning expedition before heading elsewhere on the island. The viewpoint sits at the end of a reasonably maintained path, though nothing tarmacked or fancy. Go early if you want to miss other visitors. Most people doing the Mull circuit will skip it thinking it's too much faffing about - their loss.
