Doe Park Caravan Park

Delightful caravan park, set in the most beautiful part of Teesdale. Well kept, spacious, very quiet and relaxing place to chill out. Extensive network of footpaths in area make it a walkers paradise. Toilets and showers are always spotlessly clean. There are a couple of good, dog friendly, pubs within walking distance, and a local bus to Middleton in Teesdale or Barnard Castle runs past the park ...

Situated in quiet countryside and a 1/2 mile walk to Cotherstone and the Fox & Hounds pub. Request bus stops outside entrance for a 20-minute ride into Barnard Castle, [recommended for its opticians] The campsite has two shower/toilet blocks operated by 20pence pieces. Really nice receptionist with a limited shop for essentials. Lovely rural area. Recommended.

Great place to visit, just happens to be in Teesdale, just off A66 or A67 depending which direction you are travelling, so bonus allround, quiet site well organised with great facilities, local pubs a mile or so away, Barnard Castle within easy reach, bus passes regularly for 4 mile trip. 1st time to this site and what a lovely site with lovely views and big pitches . Well kept site , until I got stuck trying to get off a grass pitch due to the very bad weather that we had but can't wait to return 😕😁 We even got taken down to the sheds to see the Lambs being born which we missed by about 20 minutes but lots of little ones still to see .

We were only here for a few days but we've already decided that we'll be going back for a longer stay. The staff are very friendly and only too keen to help you with advice about site, places to visit whether its to shop or something to eat. There is plenty of room around each hard standing pitch.
