Very nice location, impressive to do especially walk next to the River. Rooms god size, service good as well.

Very tidy and well kept site. Excellent location for trips north. We stopped 1 night. Road noise as expected for the location but it didn’t stop us all getting a good nights sleep.

Facilities very good. Location less so...lots of traffic noise. Staff helpful and friendly. If you have a motorhome or campervan, and therefore often possibly limited in terms of travel, there is nothing easily accessible nearby, or on foot. No pub. No shop. Nearby park and ride accommodates motorhomes without height or length restrictions, making Durham and its wonderful Cathedral accessible...

The site is nice, the pitches well spaced and an excellent shower and ablutions block, everything you would expect and all the site is very clean. However it's run on rules rules rules! Don't turn up early you will have to wait, but your not allowed to wait outside the gate, there is no mention of arrival time and the fact you will be denied entry if you arrive during the staff lunch break, the s...

Lovely site conveniently located just off the A1. We stayed two nights to visit Beamish and then head up to Scotland but its also ideal for a longer stay. Beautiful toilet blocks and the site is well kept with spacious, level pitches. The wardens are friendly and helpful. We forgot to go back to reception to tell them our pitch number and they came out to us (in the rain) to bring our barrier card...
