Pecknell Farm

Beautifully maintained quiet farm site tucked away from the main road. Good facilities with hot showers covered washing up area and drying room for wet clothes. Just over a mile walk from Barnard Castle along a bridleway.

Just spent a late booked weekend at pecknell farm campsite and must say it is brilliant! So quiet, fantastic facilities for a working farm campsite (and we know them when we see them cos have been on some that are atrocious). Nice walk into and from Barnard Castle town centre too. Will definitely be back (and soon we hope)

We stayed here Friday & Saturday come home Sunday the site was very peaceful quiet and very well kept a beautiful place to stay. I will definitely come here again. The site was immaculate.

We had about a week on this lovely site in July 2023 and it was fabulous. Very tidy and well laid out and so handy for walking. No need to use the car, the walks lead straight from the site to Barnard Castle, Lartington and beyond. We had a lovely time exploring Teesdale and will certainly use this site again if in the area.

A beautifully landscaped site with almost no road noise whatsoever. Some lovely walks from the site including easy routes into Barnard Castle, either via the river through the woods, or via the old railway line which is also suitable for cycling.
