Allabury

You'll spend thirty minutes to an hour here, depending on how much you want to poke about the ramparts and read the history. The site is free and open access, though there's no facilities, so bring water and don't expect signage telling you much.

Historically minded walkers will get the most from it. Kids might find it interesting for half an hour before asking why there's nothing to climb on or eat. The views alone make it worthwhile as part of a wider walk around Launceston, which sits just down the valley.
