Burwell Priory

All that remains of Burwell Priory are fragments of stone wall and earthwork outlines scattered across a field near Horncastle. It's the sort of place that rewards a bit of detective work - you'll need to know what you're looking at to get much from it, but if medieval monasteries interest you, there's something quite moving about standing where the monks once walked.
