Stone walls emerge from sheep-cropped grass on a hillside near Lampeter, marking what's left of a medieval fortress that once controlled this corner of Ceredigion. Castell's remains aren't much to look at - foundation stones and earthworks mostly - but the setting is properly atmospheric.
